Published evidence becomes directly consumable by AI agents
Milestone occurred: 1 September 2026
Public milestone record published: 11 September 2026
What happened
The public Atinamos Evidence MCP crossed from interface design into a proven read path for normal machine clients.
A non-privileged public MCP client connected to https://verify.atinamos.co.uk/mcp, discovered the Assurance evidence tools, looked up evidence using only an exact service endpoint/method, discovered a signed receipt and retrieved that receipt successfully.
The smoke test deliberately used no private database access, no payment credentials and no signing-key access.
Why it mattered
Until this point Atinamos evidence was primarily something a bespoke buyer or HTTP integration could query. MCP made the evidence layer directly usable by compatible AI agents as a machine-native information source.
That reinforced the intended boundary:
Atinamos provides the evidence. The buyer owns the policy and decision.
What it proved
The milestone supports that a normal public MCP consumer could:
- discover Atinamos evidence tools;
- look up evidence for a service;
- retrieve a signed Evidence Receipt;
- inspect evidence without gaining write, wallet or signing authority.
What it did not prove
It did not prove that external agents were already using the MCP at useful scale, nor that every private Atinamos observation was exposed publicly. The public MCP deliberately reads the selected published evidence corpus.
It also does not give the MCP authority to trigger paid tests or make purchases.
Current interface
The public guide remains Atinamos Evidence MCP, with the official registry identity uk.co.atinamos/evidence and live endpoint https://verify.atinamos.co.uk/mcp.
Capability transition
publish evidence for humans/APIs
→ expose bounded read-only evidence tools
→ normal AI agent can retrieve evidence directly
